Quick Question about RO/DI

Hi,

I've just replaced all of the filter media in my 5 stage RO/DI filter. The new filters show TDS reading of 50. I'm going to sample until my TDS reading is zero and then start using the water. How many gallons might it take before I can expect zero?

Curious if anyone can give me an idea.

Answer: About 2-3 gallons. LOL

You should install the filters one at a time and flush each in turn before installing the next.
Do a search with my username and disinfection for the proper way to disinfect a RO/DI system then install the filters while flushing in sequence. This is very important, especially the disinfection.
