i am running 2x250 SE radium on lumatek hqi ballasts. i was looking today at the color. one bulb seems to be running basically white and the other blue. the bulbs where replaced about 3 to 4 weeks ago. do they sometimes burn white ? i may try an re fire the bulb and see what happens. does this happen when the bulbs are at the end of there life? i bought them as a 2 week old used bulb. any input appreciated. thanks

That sounds odd. You may have a defective bulb.

Dang it. It has a slight hue of blue, but nothing compared to the other witch was from the same 2 week old bulb purchase. I'm going to re fire it a little later. See what happens. I also have another bulb that was part of the purchase. Might try that one of all else fails.

Is it a Lumatek dual ballast or do you have separate ballast for each bulb? If its a dual ballast then the problem that you are experiencing is is common with other manufactures that I know of.
