Brandon, how much of the PAR increase do you think is due to the probe's inability to measure the blue spectrum accurately? Sanjay's site shows about a 30% increase HQI vs. IceCap, which is what I would expect based on the power the two ballasts put out. Was the HQI less blue?

I was at Brandons house when he did the test, the Hqi was a little whiter, but still pretty good color more blue than i expected for the Hqi ballast. Maybe would be a little whiter after initial burnin.

I'd say that could account for a small increase due to the spectrum changes, but don't think there is any way that would have accounted for the doubling in PAR.

Maybe the slight shift in spectrum plus the overdrive could account for the difference. I was just truely shocked it was putting out 4 times my current 14k light that is 3 weeks old.
