Guys,
Salinity’s a little low at 1.024 , 400 litres
I’m going to raise it using nsw instead of rodi

Any guesses how much it’ll take to raise .001-.002 to 1.025-26

Just let the water evaporate on its own, the salinity will gradually increase. It will get to 1.025 by tomorrow on its own.

Use one of the calculators that Hamza's reef has no need to guess.

I would just stop topping off evaporation until salinity is where you want it, then bring water level up with RODI.

To go from sg = 1.024 to sg = 1.026, it will take 7.7% of the water to evaporate and be replaced by 1.026 seawater.
That’s what I’m looking for , some maths not guesses lol

So the replacement nsw is 1.025 so if I go to 1.026 I’ll need 15.4% in 400 ltr so 60 ltr?
Probably better to add a little then each day

So, new question boss if you don’t mind
How much salt to raise 2 points?

No, that's not correct. Small changes in the salinity used hardly matter in this context.

Think of it this way.

Start at 1.024, and allow 7.7% of the water to evaporate, so the sg rises to 24/(1-0.077) = 24/0.923 = 26 --> 1.0260

If you then mix 92.3% 1.026 with 7.7% 1.025, the sg becomes 1.02592.

So still go with ~7.7%.

Ok but I can’t lower my water level cos my skimmers set and lowering 1-2” will affect it hense the addition of salt tactic

It's just a way of thinking of it. The answer is nearly the same done in daily increments of 1% evaporation.
