Recently placed an order with aquaSD during their Labor Day sale with 40% off. Ordered two frags of Zoas and a Bubble Tip anemone just because I felt the need to add some more life to the tank and with prices like that, who could argue! When it arrived, it was nicely packed with each bag in a clamped bag of its own and a "freebie" frag to top it off. This was my first order with them after seeing an add on this forum last week. I have made past orders with most of the other vendors, i.e. WWC, Unique Corals, etc.. but this was my first with aquaSD. I think they did a great job and was just putting it out there for anybody else that may have not heard of them or was on the fence about them. I wont hesitate to order from them in the future. We all work hard for our money and don't want to waist it. Just my 2 cents.... Happy reefing!

I ordered an Acro from them and it arrived nicely packed, etc. I did the acclimation properly, pu it on the bottom of my tank in preparation for it to acclimate to my lights. Next morning when I looked, it was completely bleached out!! and dead! All my parameters are spec for Acros as I have a few others. This one was to be my show piece on the top of one of my rocks. Very disappointed.

I’ll second that. I ordered Tuesday and they expressed overnighted it to me. My first time too. But as a native San Diegan ... i’d been planning to order from them for a while. Got the freebie as well.

Completely agree. I also ordered a few things from aquaSD. Everything was well packaged, arrived healthy, and best of all frags were generally larger than I expected. Would definitely order from them again.

Seven year customer of theirs.. . . FOR A REASON !! they are top notch.

Yessir! They are the best, my 75 is filled with their coral. Exclusive ASD... just put in an order labor day as well.. got a call about an acro i ordered that didn’t meet their standards before shipping out. they called and informed me that they have more from the same colony and also gave me a little something extra. Hands down best customer service they have made changes to shipping due to being out of town, not waited but shipped a day sooner. I will never ever spend the money i do with them anywhere else.

Sorry to hear that. Did you reach out to them? Just curious what their response was.

I too purchased a couple of coral from the Labor Day sale they had. And they came in packaged very well, and polyps extended in their bags. Getting a freebie coral was awesome as well. They earned a new customer.

These came in yesterday. Pictures are from a few hours ago.

Glad you had a good experience. I have had three really good experiences and even visited the shop when I was in town. All was well until I purchased a Kryptonite Mushroom. The mushroom was tiny and significantly different from the picture as well as plenty of bubble algae. I contacted them only to get a very negative response despite providing pictures within hours of receipt of the issues.

To be honest I was taken back after the experience I had in the store and previously. But if I get burn on. $300 mushroom I’ll take my business elsewhere

I placed my first order with them for the Labor Day sale.

I share the same experience you did. When I Bayer dipped the 13 frags I ordered, I didn’t spot one single worm and there wasn’t even much detritus on any of the corals.

I was almost confused!

The frags were exactly what was in the picture and appear to be in good health (despite the very long journey to Texas).

I’ll definitely be ordering from them again, hoping to get more freebies

really? ive spent almost $4,000 with them (just added it up) and not once have i had a frag with bubble algea. I haven’t had a single issue with them, if i did it wasn’t their fault but they still helped me out.

Surprisingly yes. Been to their facility and it is nice. Guess I got one that slipped by. More the response that bothered me.

I like them and have ordered a bunch. The only 2 acros I ordered from them also bleached the first day in my acro only tank. It made me thing they were off to the side in a darker area. I just chalk it up to doing business online. Still very satisfied with them and shopped there since.

exactly people just don’t understand all the variables... i could understand if you received a piece that is bleached or that is no even close to what you order... but if you put it in your system and its there for a day or two and it dies.... can you really get mad? its not like the clipped it off the colony and let it sit on a table for a day and send it out... its something that happens... i lost an acro after 3 days... but should i get mad at them because one of the asterina in my tank got hungry?

My experience is very similar, too.

Disclaimer, these are my personal experiences, I am not affiliated with AQUASD (I wish I was, I live in the desert - they have sunny SD, CA), and I can only account to how perfectly they've always treated me.

I've spent thousands with them (too scared to add it up... o_O). A lot of corals seem to be recent cuts, so take that as you will. I've lost a number of mushrooms from detaching (my Interstellar - NO, I was very sad!!!), a Disney, and had a shipping nightmare (thanks, UPS - who did nothing!). @AquaSD has stepped in every time to assist where they can. I have never received a response where they just didn't care, including the UPS failure that had nothing to do with ASD. They've taken care of any issue I've experienced, which, considering the amount of corals I have ordered, is VERY minor (maybe 1% of the time?).

95% of my corals have come in much bigger than expected, with good color, decent polyp extension, and always for a great price. If anyone is looking to order online, there's a few good places out there. AquaSD is certainly among the best!!!

As mentioned in above posts, they always send freebies. I've gotten anything from "meh", to "You guys sent me this... for FREE?"! It's one of my favorite parts of ordering from them.

If anyone is looking for top-notch service (they have called me many times to clarify, question, check on things), good prices, and absolutely beautiful corals, they're a perfect fit.

Now, if I can just convince them to send me one of those Electric Confetti Acros as my freebie .
