In terms of ensuring that mainly parasites are free from added macro algae, is a simple rinse all that is necessary? Or is the typical isolation treatment critical even for it? I assume that if urchins and starfish are fine with a rinse then the same is expected with macros, but worth checking!

In theory as long as their are no pods then a rinse would be sufficient.

I do hold any macro for 76 days in a fish-less coral QT before putting in display.
