red cyanobacteria

I got a little bloom going, it's nothing crazy and I have removed most of it. Aside from that, I have purchased Ultralife Red Slime Remover. So my protein skimmer be turned off? Also, other than water change and brining my light time down, what other things should I be doing? Thanks!

Get a Maxi Jet and do weekly blow offs. Net the slime and repeat a couple times a week. Its always helped me.
