One polyp two mouths. While these were over at a friends tank getting babysat. He found this polyp with two mouths. I called shenanigans, but granted its not the best pic. After seeing it today with my own eyes it's clearly one polyp with two mouths:-)

I have a utter chaos kinda like that it closes to one but opens to 2 mouths ive tried to get a pic but dont have a nice enough camera to get a good pic but looks cool

This hornet has yet to split. Still sitting the way it was when I took the pic.

I've read that polyps will reproduce by division as well. I had an utter chaos that did this and it took a long time (probably a few months) to finally split.

I have a captain america protopaly that has had 2 mouths for roughly a year. Captain americas grow fast too. The red hornet could even take longer. Also if the organisms does not feel as it is necessary to waste the energy to form a whole new polyp it might not form one right away. < That is how I feel with corals, not saying it is 100% true, since I have not scientifically tested it.
