Has/is anyone using the Red Sea lighting system? We were/are using the orbit marine lighting system and bought the Red Sea lights and we could not get the white and blue set so that the tank wasn’t always blue and the corals were all miserable. We set it up with the break in period as they recommended and no luck - did try contacting them - no help
We spent a lot of money on them but are frustrated we can’t make them work - or we are old and not very smart

A) The Current Orbit leds are weak and better used for fish only or very shallow tanks... like 12" deep.

B) Your corals were miserable with blue light? How could you tell? BTW, corals symbiotic algae, zooxanthellae, do most of their photosynthesis using blue spectrum light. So the corals should be getting fed OK... assuming you were runing them at a high enough PAR level.

The corals drew in and some of them started bleaching - the hammerhead coral and the Duncan’s were all closed up and we lost a finger coral due to bleaching - have you used the Red Sea? Is there anyone out there that has?
