So I have several turf algae blooms out of nowhere (byropsis, hair, black beard). From what I found through some research is that Reef Flux will take care of it. Have only my blues on, chemical filtration removed, air stone added, UV off. Dosed with 300mg (3 capsules) since it’s a biocube 16. Am I missing anything? How long is this going to take to see some results? Do I have to scrape it off or will it just go away? Is there any tips or tricks? Started process on 1/1/22

It takes about 2 weeks on average, though some do a 2nd dose.

Blue light or white light or whatever color doesn't matter. The idea that white light grows algae better is a myth.

I wonder if it would be helpful to dose some type of scavenging bacteria to help eat the dying algae.
