reef octopus 250ext issue

hey, so i recently got the 250ext and installed it. i have noticed it produces a LOT of bubbles out of drain pipe, so much so it micro bubbles the entire sump and ends up into the display.

i have tried a bubble trap but doesnt work well.

any suggestions?

How long has it been setup and running? It takes a bit of time for them to break in.......they shoot out a ton of micro bubbles during that time.

Oh, good point. It’s only been running for four days. The drain pipe makes loud gurgling noises. Maybe that will calm down too.

How long does it normally take for the drain pipe to quiet down? So much splashing inside there and shoots out a bunch of air.
