ok I’ve been thinking about getting reef roids to feed my tank just don’t want to waste my time or money if it’s pointless for my corals I’ve been feeding my Duncan nls pellets and has sprouted like 4-5 new heads in a month in the past week I’ve fed it a little frozen mysis shrimp and I feed my bubble tip anemones a little of both
Here’s the list of my corals would reef roids help them grow faster I have noticed a big growth in all my corals in the past few weeks

Frogspawn branching
Hammer
Red bullseye mushroom (unhappy atm due to me changing flow)
New Yuma mushroom
2 different types of green star polyps
Rose bubble tip anemone
Duncan
Pulsing Xenia

Which corals for all of them or which should I spot feed

Feed all of them if you want

Really, when you break it down to the molecular level, most aquarium foods are essentially the same.

I think it’s more critical on the fish side because some can have fairly strict dietary requirements, but more importantly, you’ve got to be able to get them to eat stuff.

On the coral side, I don’t think they’re as picky. If the polyp can get ahold of it, it’s all fair game.

Now, is there a specific protein in certain foods that triggers a feeding reaction better than other foods? I wouldn’t rule it out. But in general, corals ain’t too picky.

I find that some lps does not like reefroids, at least in my case. I stopped target feeding it to my torch, 4 hammers and frogspawn as they all would slime up when I did so. No I just target feed my sps and acans and then put some in the water column which I assume a bit gets to the other guys.

Spot feed all corals. Even SPS. Turn off all flow to do this. Otherwise it's just a waste most the time.

It helps all corals, but LPS that will take meaty foods like mysis (Acans for example) may not show much improvement, or any. But they do tend to enjoy it, and show a great feeding response.

But in general, corals ain’t too picky.

I've gotta say, my first hand experience is the exact opposite. Some corals I have will eat anything, others will ONLY eat Reef Roids, even still, some will ONLY eat Benepets. MOST will not touch Reef Chili.

But I've got a whole frag tank of high end LPS, zoas, and shrooms. So I take note of what they do and don't eat, as it's important.
