I recently bought Reefbreeders new Photon 48" fixture and so far as very happy with it. I've seen some growth out of both my LPS and SPS as well as my softies. I currently have the light peaking out at 65% blue and 55% white. My question is should I keep ramping the light up as far as I can until I start to see negative results and then back it down a bit or should I stop now because everything seems to be happy even though the growth may not be as good as it could be?

If you don't mind,,, how much did that hurt your pocket, and where did you get it from. I was thinking about making the switch

I am running mine at 55 blue and 40 white, and I don't see any reason to go higher at the moment, might try to go up 10% on both but everything is looking so good right now. I would say run them where your corals are happy. I am going to follow along as well.

The only place I know to get them is from Reefbreeders.com and that's correct, they're $499 shipped. Great fixtures as far as I can tell. They run cool and are dimable/programmable. I added a new acro (only my second one) a couple of weeks ago and it's already showing growth. I guess I'll leave well enough alone since everything seems to be doing so well.

I have a photon 48 over my tank and i love it.

im at 65b and 45-50w so far i have been running for a couple months now.

Not really sure when to top out the increase of light? still kinda confused about that.
