Hi,

I currently have a nanobox duo over my 25g lagoon - with the nanobox only having 2 pucs, and being 5" from the water surface, it literally makes my tank dark on the sides and only bright in the center. This limits my use of space for acros. Due to my aquascape, the nanobox is not for me.

I want to switch to the reefbreeders, however I am not sure which one to get. The lagoon is 24" long.

Thank you for your advice.

I used to run a 24" photon v2 on my IM 20, which is the same length. I quite liked it but felt I had far too much over spill.
They are very powerful lights though, I personally would get a 16" and just raise it up until I liked the spread. Again, they have quite a bit of punch, so don't be afraid to raise it as high as you want off the water.

Happy reefing!

Thank you! When you say spill you mean the light would spill out of the tank, like making a room too bright ?
