Reefer 350 UV Help

Hi folks,

I have a red sea reefer 350. I have ordered a Vecton v2 400 UV Steriliser for it but have since been told I should have got the 600. Is that right enough? Or will the 400 be fine?

Also, what's the ideal flow rate for them?

I would think you need at least the 600 which is a 25w to see any benefit on your tank. I used a cheap 40W UV on my 177g tank and it was marginal. I ran it for 2 yrs and then switched to a AquaUV 114w and what a difference. I had a dino problem that wouldn't go away with the old 40w UV. Now my tank looks great. Good luck with what ever you choose.

It turns out, the 400 is a big enough struggle to fit inside the cabinet so I think my decision has been made for me

Yeah I got it in, not perfect placement I suppose, but literally the only place. I could get it in. What a different though, well worth it.

I just ordered the Pentair 18w and IM still trying to figure out how the heck to fit it into my red Rea reefer 350 sump area
