Hello everyone,

Anyone running Reef LED 90s on a 40 gallon breeder? I currently have 2 running 9” off surface at 55%blue and 15% white. Visually, it looks like plenty of light, however, I noticed one of my purple tipped torch corals receding. Could it be TOO much light still? All other euphylia seem to be doing well. Thoughts?

Mixed reef
Salinity: 1.026
Calcium: 430
Alkalinity: 9.5
Magnesium: 1450
Nitrates: 15-20
Phosphate: 0.07

Ps: Dealing with a bubble algae bloom. Also, I did have a slight alkaline swing about 2 weeks ago, that I induced to lower it from 11.5 to its current number of 9.5 which it had been sitting at for the last 3 months. Lost a Duncan that was thriving, but I’m not sure if that was due to the swing, my clowns beating it up or something else.

thanks!

Agreed. Might have to rent one. Was hoping someone had a similar setup and could get me “in the ballpark.” Terrible approach on my part for this situation, lol…. But, it’s what I’m working with.

Yeah, it would be great if the manufacturers integrated some sort of rudimentary PAR calculator into their apps. I found one online for the older Radions that someone had created which generated a rough PAR reading based on tank dimensions, light height and LED channels/intensity (I doesn't look like it's been carried forward to modern LEDs though).
