I have a 4 month old reeflo hammerhead barracuda hybrid pump running as a return on my filtration system. The pump is in my basement and has to pump UP approximately 10 feet to my display tank (92 corner). Normally the pump puts out enough water that I have to restrict its return (with a ball valve) by about 35%. The return is divided out into 4 outlets drilled thru the back of the tank. Three days ago I noticed the flow was drastically diminished - MAYBE a gallon or two a minute is going thru the system. The pump does not appear overly warm as if it seized up and SOME water is being moved by the pump. Just listening to the system you can tell that very little water is still being moved. I plan on trying Reeflo tomorrow but with the holiday and all I don't know if I'll get them. Anybody else with a thought or similar experience? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take it apart. Take off the pump cover and see if anything is restricting the flow. I have a panworld pump and had a stupid PVC sticker basically cover the inlet part almost completely restricting flow.

Thanks Rayn.
It was as you suggested. Amazing how a chunk of chaetomorpha can clog up the intake and NOT get chopped up into a billion pieces by a high powered pump.
