Reusing EcoBak Pellets Plus

Hi,

I would like to seeking advise on how to reuse the ecobak biopellets?

I had the reactor ran for around 4 weeks and turned it off for about 2 weeks, the pellets are still the reactor and the reactor still in my sump. My question is, if I want to run it again, what should I do next? Do I just turn it back on or take the pellets out rinse them with ro/di and put them back in or just turn the reactor on again.

your advise is appreciated

I have always taken pellets out and rinsed with RODI and cleaned reactor and just started over like they were new because I am assuming that if reactor was turned off for any period of time the bacteria using the pellets have died. I could be wrong but I always error on the side of caution and restart the reactor like new!

Thanks Eric for the input..I will just rinse them and the reactor just to be safe.
