I bought an RO/DI system from BRS. Im trying to hook it to a sink in laundry room, I used the faucet hookup it came with but the red tube will not stay on. Can anyone help me with this?

That fitting is a compression fitting not a push to connect. Unscrew the barrel nut, the nut on the outside of the fitting. There will be a collar inside the fitting. Slide the nut over your feed pipe, then put the collar on the feed pipe. Slide the pipe on the fitting and tighten down the barrel nut. Should work fine.

Thank you, it works perfect now.. I think I am suppose to run it for 24 hours before I can use it..

Can you tell me how long I can leave salt water in a container as long as there is a power head keeping the salt water moving?

I'm not sure on the saltwater, I don't know why it wouldn't be able to sit for a while. You just have to be concerned about evaporation and salinity.

Im not sure about the 24 hours. Call BRS or look at one of there videos. I usually would scrap the first 5 gallons after a new membrane. Remember only cold water.

THank you Thank you Thank you..... I checked it and it was on hot, so I switched it to cold... Did I hurt anything being hot for only an hour or so?

Instructions on my 5 stage said flush for one hour. Did that. Producing 0 TDS as needed henceforth.

It depends on your membrane but I think most will tolerate up to 115 deg, not sure how hot your water gets..
