I had a tank with some live rock get infested with the jellyfish version of hydroids about a month ago, but I never see them anymore. Does that mean they are gone for good? I want to reuse the sand and rock, but I really dont want hydroids spreading. Can I use the rock, or so I have to toss it?

If it really is hydroids from a jellyfish - they just are a stage in the development of the actual jellyfish. When they matured to the medusa stage they will not come back if you do not get the medusa to survive and sexual reproduce itself.
