Rodi filter question

I can recommend you the resin: purolite mb400. I've been working at the lab for many years whit this resin. good stuff!

My resin changed color within the first 100 gallons or so. But my TDS is still zero, so, I'm not fretting it. If yours are zero, I wouldn't worry.

What the color change means is that the DI filter is no longer functioning. The fact that it ran out so fast means that it was doing a lot of work and was therefore important. Time to replace the resin.

I just got a tds monitor and it says my well water has 47 ppm.

Ha that’s not bad at all. Mine out of the kitchen is 220!

1ppm is usable for sure. I get pure RO water from my petco and it usually has 1-3 TDS.

Yes 0 is ideal but a little bit won’t distroy your tank.

Wait nvm...thought you meant ppb

Your TDS meter reads in ppb? Mine reads in PPM. I thought a few PPM was fine also?

Typical for that type of unit. When I used to run an RO Buddie by Aquatic life I would get roughly 100G of water out of the DI before it was spent.

FWIW, my TAP incoming TDS is only 20ppm, out of the RO and into the DI was only 1ppm and I would still only get 100G out of the DI canister.
