the 3/8 threading doesnt fit my shut off valve threading. Brs let me know that all stop adapters have a 3/8 threading size. Unsure of what to do next.

Your hose looks like a 1/2" compression

Likely 3/8 at the anglestop and 1/2" at the faucet. Youll need to replace it with a 3/8x3/8 hose.
Likely needs replacement anyways as that rubber compression likely wont give a good seal anymore.
