Hi there,

I have installed the rollermat compact on my tank a few days ago but I can't get it silent.
It is keeping sucking air in from some were (lots of bubbles come out of the rollermat drain).. I have glued most off the pvc except the piece that connects to the drain pipe that comes from the tank.
I have taped all the connections to see if it sugs air in some were but it does not help.
The noise becomes louder (more air is been sucked in) when the water in the roller is rising.
But I have no clue where it could be comming from..
The drain pipe that comes from the overflow is at the bottom of the overflow so that can't be it either (see photo my model does not have the T-piece on the valve but a completely seperate emergency drain).

The overflow was dead silent when the rollermat was not on it..

At first I had the rollermat lower in the sump and the pvc was just 2x90 degree pieces instead of the gooseneck.
It was silent than but... It stood to low in the water so it rolled the fleece way to soon.

I I'm a bit out if ideas.. Any one any idea/experiences?

This is wat I mean.. It is pretty silent right now as the water level in the roller is low after I manually rolled some fleece.

After replumbing the rollermat I've managed to seal the plumbing.. There was a very tiny leak somewere i couldn't find but it's fixed now.
But the rollermat is still quite noisy..
There are still bubbles comming out of the bottom drain and I know for shure now it is nog comming out of the inlet pipe.
I think it is sucking in air at the fleece guide grid or something..

Does any one has any experience with this?

I installed mine a few days ago and it was crazy loud. It was because I was trying to plumb my bean animal overflow so that both my full siphon and durso drained into it. I played around with different configs (thanks to unions) and got it silent. I had to run just my full siphon into the compact rollermat. Once it established the siphon, it was completely silent.

Are you getting full siphon on the drain going into your rollermat?

Hi, yes I'm getting a full sifon and it is silent now.
For me the problem was a very tiny leak in the plumming were air got sucked in so it got noisy.
I replumed it and problem fixed.
My emergency overflow bypasses the rollermat.

I have tried to do the same thing and tied both siphons together under the adjustment valve. I then hard plumbed into the top. the load noise I get is from down tube. mine unit is submerged just under the float by about 2 inches. I not sure if this is too much drop. i have backed off my return pump and backed off the valves. Any suggestions on configuration would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is super loud too and sits in about 8 inches of water with the red stand. I am not sure what I can do to make it quite.
