i have two i want to get rid of i would like to trade for any zoa or acro frags
i will also sell them very cheap if you pay shipping

My wife is always beging for a purple fish... i've never had them before and could add them... just not sure if they will fight, didn't think two in a tank was a good idea.

You know azurel?

2 in a small tank like mine is a bad idea but if you have say a six foot tank you should be fine John has 4 in the display tank on the left at Bermuda

I have a 95 gallon corner attached to about another 120 gallons of additional water volume. So while there is alot of water.... hiding spots are limited.

Brandon

I think you could be safe in a 95, depends on how much rock work you have....If it is a male, female I am sure you would be fine. One of the only ways I have read and seen in person for sexing is the lines on the face of the fish will be purple/bluish for male and yellow for female...I know they can be aggressive as the few I have had over the years could get that way....But nothing like their cousins Black Caps...

i have at least one of each male and female but im not sure which i have two of
i'll know for sure when i try to catch them

Brandon, royal gramas are a great fish but once established have a territorial tendency like six line wrasses almost. not always but most of the ones ive kept and heard of can be nasty to new tank mates. But they are a very nice looking fish and very healthy.

IME they will find a spot and then when a fish gets near it they will mainly just open their jaws and dart a little. I think their bark is worse than their bite. :D

I have had one for a while in my 55g and love it. Very interesting and mostly out in the open, during the evening hours it will retreat to a cave and defend it by looking really scary but I have never seen it actually get into a scuffle. Mine holds his own in a tank with a tomato clown though so they are no sissy. I would maybe worry about compatability. If I remember correctly you have some expensive wrasses and not get along if hiding space is a premium.
