Ryan's 40B... FINALLY!

Man it's been forever since I bought this thing and now it's finally UP!
Funny story to start with. After filling the pump chamber up with water to make sure there were no leaks it I start the pump, I hear the water making its way up the pipe then.... NOTHING! No water came out. I was like whhhyyyyyy, then I thought about it. I just said eh maybe impeller is messed up. Fill my overflow box with water to make sure it doesn't leak. Well the water doesn't even flow down to the sump! WWHHHHYYYYYY AGAIN!
Now.... I think to myself 'what's going on?'. It hits me....
I had just finished painting the back of my tank that day. I remember doing this too....

I taped inside the union!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAHHHHHHHHH!!!! haha
Not a big deal, fixed it

Also used some stained glass in my sump! haha

All the water I had for today, but will be full tomorrow!

i think it looks good. i just set up my 40b also, and i have the exact same fixture also, lol. and it also is hung kinda sorta the same way as yours.

Alright updated pics. Threw in a few zoas to see how they do today. I think it's ready!

This is NOT one of Gooches Phils corners. It's just something a local HS kid made for me in a trade for some frags. I do plan to purchase a Phils corner though, his are A++++ haha

Looks awesome! I have a 57 (36x18x21'') and I keep telling myself to skip the Tek Elite and buy the 6x39w ATI PM. How do you like the fixture so far? You better make some caves and overhangs if you plan to keep any Softys/LPS!
