Today I received a call from my girl. And she told my poor six line wrasse was dead. I got home and pulled her out. Sadness. She was one of the first fish, I've had that fish for 5 years and she made it through 2 moves she lived a long and good fish life!

I think the fish just died. There where no pieces of find missing no legions or marks of abuse. I did notice yesterday it didn't eat like usual.but didn't think twice. Parameters are all good. All other fish are fine and eating. And all corals are good.

Sorry for your loss they are great fish.

Lifespan of the typical sw inhabitant? Never thought of that. Most seem to pass with some tragic event... Anybody know?

They say that Six Lined Wrasses are long lived. The oldest reported is 10 years in an aquarium. Unless you know how old it was when you got it, who knows. Actually, five years is a good run. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry about that they are very nice fish. My first one passed away 2 months ago at age 11 but I got another
