I decided to start testing my calcium with the Salifert kit, but had a quick question. I watched around 3 different youtube instructional videos and noticed all 3 of the videos mentioned to add 8 drops of the CA-2 for the 2ml test. The instruction booklet i got in the kit says add 5 drops for the 1ml test and 10 drops for the 2ml test. I did the 2ml test with 10 drops first which put my calcium levels at about 380, and the 8 drop test said i was around 400. Any insight on which drop count is the most accurate?

It doesn't matter whether it is 8 or 10, have you noticed that the dropper for ca-2 isn't very accurate? that's because it doesn't matter, its just a ball park, the important bit is the titration.
There was an article about it somewhere either on here or another forum, I seem to think it was by randy holmes farley but don't quote me on it, just do a search.

Found it, post number 6

The instructions for the Salifert calcium and magnesium kits have changed recently, just go with what your kit says.
