Saving my torch!!

My torch needs some love and help!!

Nano 15 gallon
Sal. 1.25
Cal. 480-500
Alk. 8.4

A little back story on my tank a few weeks ago my tank parameters started dropping mainly Alk 7.3 ph 6.8 and cal. 400 The tanks temp was high Around 80 from the 1st wave of heat in the house So I hooked up a small fan to the tank and picked up some Kent ph buffer and cal. After a few days I stop dosing the tank bc the parameters seemed to leveled off after dosing. And never dropped below my desired parameters. Testing all my parameters for another week also did a small water change and my torch started looking bad. Started seeing the skeletons on the sides then yesterday morning. A jelly slime took over the torch. Instantly I took the torch out the tank, Blasted the torch and dipped it seachem Iodine Dip. A small W.C. Then I placed the torch in a small diy Pico tank setup in a window for light w/ heater and bio media from the tank.
Im not sure if I can place the torch back in my tank or cut off the infected parts. Help any advice out there?

I would say it got bjd (brown jelly disease) and died if the glove pic is anything to go by.

brown Jelley infection sucks it knocks out coral so quickly !!

Increase flow dip your corals when you first get them

Ohh and to add gonna try not be harsh

Bad idea with that "pico" whatever your calling it. You could put the healthiest coral in there and it would prob be dead in a short matter of time. There is no flow ... no stability worse place you could put a coral trying to save it.

Your gonna want to set yourself up a proper qt tank if your wanna get serious
