Scoly feeding

Wow! I initially assumed it was a Duncan but the super long tentacles made me think twice! It looks awesome! Are you using really high flow to get it to look like that? I think my clowns are a little bit unhappy with their current stubby home

Awesome picture!
Well I think it’s the flow as at the lfs it they weren’t as long, id say they’re exactly the same type you have there. I’d does kind of look like an elegance now that you mention it!
I’m assuming they get longer in the higher flow a bit like a torch coral. To be honest when I put it in there I wasn’t sure they would take but they’ve really thrived!

They look really great, I grew my colony from one head in what I thought was pretty high flow. I guess I have to turn my powerhead up! I love my elegance but it’s really mean, looks like my Duncan might be able to get the job done!

I’d like an elegance they’re so nice but I’d need to upgrade the tank size! Not much room left now

Little update, coral now shows a feeding response more like my other lps and is definitely no longer reseeding. I’ve not seen it growing back but it is 100% more fluffy

Can feeding a scolymia lightly daily be bad for the coral?
I never found it to be bad, but reefroids never seemed to benefit my XL LPS (Acanthophyllia, Cynarina, Scoly, Indophyllia, etc). They responded much better to LPS pellets or single my sis shrimp (I chose based on appropriate size, the food should not be larger than 3/4 the size of the mouth to reduce choking risk). I fed every day or every other day
