Securing A Leather

I picked up a new toadstool leather, came glued on a frag plug as per usual, but came off, cannot get it to stick with glue for the life of me, anyone have any tips/tricks?

Rubber band works best, the slime is secretes glue won't really stick

do you just rubber band across the top and like down to the frag plug?

Prop it up somehow, it will attach itself, you can tie it down or rubber band it down. Or wedge it between 2 rocks, it will attach itself. It generally takes a few weeks to attach itself.

put in plastic/foam cup with live rock rubble. Leave in low flow area of your tank. It will attach to the rubble

If you use a rubber band don't make it too tight unless you want two.

I've seen videos where they used rubber bands. I actually.bought a sinularia that was secured by one as well. Seems to be the MO for them. Too soft to glue. I'd wonder about the shipper maybe.

I've never had any luck glueing leathers. Vendor probably did it for a quick sale instead waiting for it to attach naturally.
