Im still cycling my tank, however I keep looking at the AI prime over my 40 gallon Innovative Marine (24" span) wondering if it would be enough to maintain proper growth, and coloration in the corals. I plan to only have zoas and LPS. Although I love the look, size, and features of the AI prime I want to do this tank right, and not have any issues down the road. It does a good job at lighting the whole tank, but since there are no corals yet it's hard to tell the route I should take. What would some of you guys with LED experience recommend I keep my percentages at?

Also if I was to add additional lighting, i'm stuck between just adding a second prime, or if I should just go with an Ecotech xr15 or a Hydra 26 HD so I don't sacrifice the overall clean look of the tank.
(I also have a HOB protein skimmer that isn't in picture, so I don't want to over crowd the tank too much.

Let me know what your opinion is!
Thanks for the help guys!

Another Prime would be fine, but if you are worried about aesthetics then bump up to a Hydra 26 HD and sell or use the Prime on a refugium.

I would say as long as the light reaches the sides of the tank you'll have plenty of juice for Zoas and LPS. I have 2 hydra 26's on a 4' long 75 gal tank with mostly LPS and even at peak intensity I only run them at 55% on the Blues, 25% on the whites and 0-10% on the rest. Anything stronger and they start to bleach out.

Yeah, the light covers it perfectly. What percentage do you think I should start the lights out at on the whites? I'd like to try and avoid bleaching if possible but didn't think I would have that issue with the prime. I have everything including whites set to about 85%. Thanks!
