Show & Tell!

Tomoko, this is one of the coolest videos I've ever seen! I love watching them swim along together...

Where is the post edit box?

Thanks, Emily. It's really neat to have a pair of dragonets for viewing this courtship behavior. They do this practically every night just before the light goes off.

Well, I did not have an official name for it, but it is the box that you are editing your post in. It is the box I am typing into now:

The filmstrip is this thing:

The movie link I posted earlier will walk you through it.

Rainy day, with time to kill. Took a couple photos that seem to be OK (actually took several and they all were garbage).
Like I said before, I am a fan of clams. The first are of another couple of Croceas I got a little while back. The last is of a wellsophylia (which I am nursing to recovery) along with a part of a maxima I got from Mike at the NARC meet.

Warning-fuzzy iPad pic.

This is my lion fish. He's pretty cool. He will be relocated on Friday to a new home with a much bigger tank. It's bitter sweet, I hate to see him go but I'm excited about new creatures.

He is pretty active when you walk up to the glass, other than that he just glides around like he owns the place. I've moved several rocks in and out of the tank and he just eases out of my way and watches.

It's hard to pick a favorite coral in my tank but I would have to say I like my zoa garden fairly well....all of these have grown from frags of 5polyps or less...

GatorBen, I'm sad that you had to rehome your Lion... He is really beautiful. Back when I worked at the shoppe we had a Volitan that I named 'Viola' & she was so peaceful & sweet. I miss her so much! It's really easy to get attached to these guys; they are full of personality.

Dave3112, I am in LOVE with your Zoa collection! I am just crazy for them... I can't wait until I can add some to my tank!

Thank you Emily,
I bought the tank a while ago from a guy and when I showed up to get it the lion fish was in it. He said it goes with the tank. My original plan was to do a FOWLR in that tank. But my dad and brother love the fish. When they come over they go straight to that tank. So i kept him around. He kinda grew on me. But since he is getting bigger I figure it's time to find him a home and go back to plan A.

Thank you! I will have to try and get some frags for you to get started with. If I can figure out how to do it in the tank because that rock is not coming out....:)

Dave - That picturte shows off your pink zoanthids with green mouth really well. The green and pink colors did not come through well in your earlier picture in another thread. I want a frag of that pink zoa, too. Do you think you can insert a small clam shell between the polyps? H@rry used to drop a bunch of shells over his purple zoa colony and pulled frags off of it. His purple zoas (did he call them devil's spawn?) were prolific.

Emily - Dave's zoa garden looks even prettier in person :)

I will try that and see what happens! That is an excellent idea!!

I can get the green to come through with top down shots just not through the glass. Must be something to do with the refraction......
