I posted about my coco worm one month ago and how he would not come out. Fast forward to now and it still will not come out. I almost threw him out because I thought he was dead. But then he started making his may closer to the entrance of his tube (but never emerges). I have been dosing live phyto and keeping him in a low flow area. I am not sure what else to do.
Here is a picture of how far he has come out (ever). Odd thing is he was fully out at the LFS when I bought him, but never again.

Can you post your parameters? You might try asking you lfs to see what is being done different.

Just tested today
nitrate- 8.1
phosphate- 0.08
alk- 7.7 (this is a bit low, but has been steady for the last month up until this reading)
calcium- 420
mag- 1310
salinity- 1.025
pH- 8.3
potassium- 340 (I am concerned about this number. I am going to send off an ICP test to double check this number)

What fish are in your tank?

Have you tried placing it in a spot with more flow? My fan worms enjoy moderate indirect opposed to low flow. Just a thought.

did you check if it comes out at night? If any fish is trying to get it, it wont come out during the day, only at night.

Otherwise, they take a while to get comfortable, if you are hovering near the tank all day you might be spooking it. It can feel you watching it, so it will hide.

Not sure. I have not looked when the lights are out. I will look. During the day, I never see any fish hovering near his tube.
