Hey everyone,

I had a sicce .5 in my tank that made absolutely 0 noise. The AI prime fan was louder than the pump. Long story short, I took the pump out and put it back in - and now it is pretty noisy. It is on the suction cups and is pushed all the way down into the tank. I can't see it vibrating on anything. Any idea why that may happen?

When you took the pump out did you clean it? If not, I'd be inclined to take it out, disassemble, give it a quick rinse and scrub with a toothbrush (especially the impeller and impeller housing). I've got a pair of Sicce SDC pumps. One is super quiet and the other managed to find just the right resonance frequency through the plumbing to vibrate.

Annoys me that I even took it out. It was so perfect how it was, made ZERO noise. It's in my office too so I guess I have to get used to it. It's not super loud.. just a very small vibration
