I’ve had a Sicce shark 2 internal filter for a month, along with my canister. I really like the shark as it has been working great, but just recently it has been sending out micro bubbles and I have no idea where to start. I know it has an air intake on top for aeration, but I took off the tube (kinda like a snorkel), and placed the filter 3-4 inches below the surface. It’s low enough that it isn’t causing a Venturi effect. Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you do anything else recently that would change the air exchange in the aquarium?

Its possible that the vacuum at the pump impeller is pulling air out of the water and releasing it back as bubbles.

I just did a 1/3 water change and shut everything down. After that all seems good, guess it just needed a little cat(fish) nap. Thanks for the advice.
