So I have a somewhat some question for y'all. I have two small Clownfish in my 125g. They are new to the tank and other than the hermits and snails they are the only things in there. (plus the colony of Copepods if they are in there still). Anyway I'm leaving out of the country for 4 months. While I'm away my wife is in charge of feeding them. I have someone that will do water changes for me. Question I have is there a way you suggest to feed them that will make it easier for her. Right now I'm cutting the frozen cubes and feeding that way. My concern is that will be to much for her busy schedule and I don't want my parameters to spike because of over feeding. Any help would be fantastic.

If flakes or pellets are an option you would consider you could get an auto feeder, set the dispense amount and then she would just need to refill it periodically. That is what I do for my tank.

I use a small tomato ketchup container, pour in approx 40-50ml of my tank water and then add the frozen Mysis, brine, Copepods and krill. I then just pour a third out each day so it lasts 3 days. After that just re-do.

it’s a quick and easy way to feed frozen food, no chopping

I have an Eheim feeder running all the time and when I travel. It has worked great and the fish are all ok when I get home. I recommend you set it up and it is one less worry.

Do you just keep it in the fridge then? This looks like it will be the best way. She does share the same enthusiasm about this hobby as I do. If you know what I mean.

yes in the fridge. After the third day, wash out the bottle and re-make.

Easy and quick and no need to feed flake or pellets as I’ve been told they’re high in nitrates if you feed too much. Of course if you are then that’s easy too as long as your other half sticks to the exact amounts.

I only use frozen food with algae pellets. I’ll use nori sheets when I get tangs.

I use the autofeeder to feed 4 times per day.
My frozen is cut into pieces, in a baggy, in the freezer, pull a piece, drop it in.
