So I've recently added in a zoa frag, they seem to be doing well however one polyp seems to want to be way higher than the rest. Making the frag look weird.

I dont have a par meter but the other zoas in the same spot seem to be fine with the lighting situation (2x hydra 32s hds)

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

thanks

Hey @Kial, I'd probably just keep an eye on it for a while and see what they do.

They do weird things sometimes and I wouldn't sweat it unless they all looked seriously unhappy and stayed closed up a long time.

Also, just a side note, you could take some clean side cutters / bone cutters and break off sections of that round frag disk until you're left with the bit right under the zoa flesh if you didn't want the look of seeing the round frag disk. But if you're good with seeing the frag disk then nevermind all that! Nice looking zoa's!

Yeah will keep an eye on it. The majority are fully open apart from the tall one.

I'm sort of hoping they will spread out over the frag plug the same way the Orange ones have below. Then I plan to cut off the plug part and glue to rock.

Thank you
