I will be installing a UV Sterilizer on 180-gl SPS tank and need some guidance on the proper sizing. This is NOT a thread of Pros vs. Cons of using a UV Sterilizers, so PLEASE let's keep this thread on topic about sizing, etc.
To that end, I am VERY tired of losing fish (and yes I have officially setup a QT tank) but I've doing some homework and spoke with others and I have decided to run a UV Sterilizer to help ward off disease and keep my fish healthier.
I have already made my mind up and going with an Aqua Ultraviolet unit and I am stuck between a 40w and a 57w unit.
Can anyone give me some advice, from experience, on what size? How much is too much wattage? What flow rate you recommend? And how many hours per day do you run the unit?
