Slimmer overflowing

Hello , so my tank is 1 week old and I turned the skimmer on 2 days ago , till today it’s overflowing and I don’t know what to do everything is on open but still is overflowing . Can anyone help me ? Does it still need time to calm down and break in or is anything wrong ?

It’s a new tank, so it’ll take time to break in and develop a biofilm over its surfaces. Continue to run it wide open, it will settle down eventually. Did you happen to use any epoxy on your rockwork? Are you using brand new filter socks? These things typically make skimmers go nuts as well.

Thank you very much ! Yes I have new filter socks but I washed them in ro water before and no I didn’t use epoxy
