Hello all,
Sorry for the long first post...Like most of you, I always have my eye open for good deals on tanks. Space was becoming a big issue in my current 14g biocube (2 1/2 yrs old) and the need for a bigger tank was certainly on the horizon. Knowing that I couldn't get my dream tank just yet (215g) I decided to stay small. After what seemed like forever I found a 29g biocube, having experience with the 14g I knew this would certainly by all the time I needed, plus it came with the sand which I wasn't sure I was gonna keep ( but did) marko rock (stuff looks amazing) and the biocube stand. I promptly picked it up and took it home for cleaning. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it before I started cleaning but I have them during. I started with adding 7 gallons of vinegar and filled the rest with water. Let it set for 3 days.
I also took the rock out and scrubbed it down and after its vinegar bath.
After the scrubbing I soaked them in ro water for 2 days. Changed the water once.
I drained the tank and played with the scape some until the wife loved it. She's commented a few time on how much she loves it when she gets home from work.
Filled and drained the tank a few more times over the course of a week to just let everything run its course.
Fast forward a week and a half and we have a clean and clear tank
Tank is cycled tanks to the help of umm I've actually forgot the name of it now but I'll post on that later once home. Wife and I are going to get a goby of some kind this weekend, I'll also be moving some corals from the 14g over.
Any ideas on good gobies? I've been eyeing a hi fin red banded goby but would like to hear others input.
