Small white branch looking things

Hey everyone.. started to notice these small white growths on the back wall of my tank near my slimmer as well as on my power head I have some pictures.. not sure what these are. Can anyone help?

In both cases, these are sponges - as long as they’re not smothering corals or clogging equipment, they’re harmless filter feeders.
 
Well that sucks. I started the tank with dead rock, and haven’t added anything but a couple of quarantined fish.
Again, they're not really something to worry about - in fact, many people consider sponges a sign of a healthy ecosystem in the tank; I just list those potential concerns to watch out for because there are a few rare cases of sponges getting into people's tanks and causing problems (these are very rare cases though).
