Something growing on macro algae

Like the title says, I got some codium macro algae in and there's this pink-brown branching stuff growing on it. It looks like another type of algae maybe but what kind? It's rooted fairly firmly and I couldn't pull it off without breaking the codium.

Could it be invasive? It seems to be dying back on its own at one piece, but another is still covered.

Here's another pic. I think it looks like bryopsis but I couldn't find pictures of red bryopsis. If so maybe I should cut it off or toss this piece of macro?

i doubt it, most the very invasive things are quite well known
