I've looked thru and don't see an answer for my question so here it goes. What's the best way to "cure" your rock before starting your aquascape?

Many people place it in a rubber maid tote with a heater and a power head. Other than the saltwater and blowing off the die off with water changes when needed not much else but time. Sometimes the rock could use a good scrubbing
