Hi,

It is a gift from shop. And my first sps coral. It is getting a little white.

My water levels are about
KH 7.9
Ca 584
Mg 1380
No3 1
Po4 0

Ca level is a little high.

What are your thoughts?

lower your Ca, depending on the position it may be getting too much light or too little, and give it moderate to low flow for now. let it acclimate a little same with the lighting

It does not look dead to me, but it doesn't look overly healthy either. How long have you had it, and what other corals are you keeping? It may just need some time to adjust to your system, or there may be something about your system it doesn't like.

What kind of lighting, flow, etch is it getting?

Have you had success with other corals?

What type of filtration are you using?

As you said, your calcium is high. What are you doing to supplement you all and calcium?

I know that is a lot of questions, but the answers to these can begin to give us some clues as to what is going on.

Giesemann matrix II 640 watt t5 .

Vortech mp60 and mp40 wavemaker.

I have filter socks system with active carbon and bio-pellet.

I didn't have tests for a while. When I tested it calcium was 594. I decreased it to 460 immediately.

I put lots of purple tech supplemen without any test. It was my fault.

Calcium is now 460
Kh is 7.9
Mg is 1280
PO4 0

I have goniopora and hammer coral which look very healthy inside the system.

At this point I would keep all parameters as stable as possible and give it some time to gully adjust to you system. It may take a month or more for the coral to get comfy. You may try to slowly raise it off the sand bed to see if it starts reacting better, but don't raise it too quickly, as this will certainly stress the coral out.

Good luck and keep us updated on how the coral is doing. If you see improvement or decline let us know as well as any changes that were made to the system. Good luck. It is mostly a waiting game now.

Thank you very much for your help. [emoji4]
