Hey all, this is my fist post. Not new to saltwater but just getting back into it after a few years (boy a lot has changed. Anyway I just got my custom tank the other day. We ordered it with 3 pains of starfire, front & both sides. Has a one pice euro brace made from regular glass. Sooooo I'm looking at my tank & fount the front glass & the euro brace egdges have the same green ting very green. The back glass & the sides are black??? The builder says he used the correct glass but I think the tank is built backwards!!!! I have seen statfire before & in positive it won't show green unless the length is long. My other thought is if the front is starfire & sides should be as well then why would the sides match the back is the sides are starfire??? I attached a pic but it's doesn't show as good as in person. Does anyone have any input?

Look down the pain of glass where the from and side meet. You should be able to see all the way to the other side of it is starfire glass.

Yea it's hard to take a picture. But Im puzzled if the front is starfire why does it not match the sides. The sides match the back glass. I think the tank is built backwards. I'm not home at the moment can't get more pictures. Also the euro brace (which is not starfire) matches the front glass.

As far as I know the only way oh can tell is by looking through it. As you can see from my bad picture you can see my back door through the glass. From what I understand regular glass you can't do that. I wonder maybe the glass is from two different suppliers. Or maybe they did mess it up. The builder should be able to provide you with a way to tell.

Starfire sometimes will have a very light green or sometimes bluish green hue to it. What also effects this on the edges is the thickness and length of the piece of glass, the thicker and longer the piece is the more "green" will appear thru the edges. Here is a link with more info explaining it

If anything I would contact the builder to just reassure they used the proper glass.

The builder says it starfire but my issue is the sides & the back glass are all the same & the euro brace with us not so posed to be starfire matches the front glass. I'm think the tank is backwards??? I have a expert coming to look at it. I hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the sides should match the front & the front shouldnt match the brace.
