Possibly dinoflagellates, I can't be certain without the proper tools to sample and test. But that's what it looks like to me.

This had literally popped up over the past couple days.

I did add some dry rock a few days ago and I see what looks like diatoms on them. I'm wondering if I've got a mix of cyano, gha, and diatoms all growing together.

The stringy stuff is near the new rocks and there's still cyano everywhere.

3 month old tank fwiw.

Can anyone provide any insight on how to handle this stuff? I'm seeing so much mixed info, I don't know what to do.

Water changes will help. Scrub a little first. I like to add a bottled bacteria. One and only is good.

Quite likely to be a cyano. Maybe a Dino. Either way thoug.

Could also be time to grab more snails if you don't have a lot. My go to is turbos. But get several smaller ines than big ones.

I'm inclined to say it's just new tank uglies.

If you're feeding aminos or coral foods stop for now. Watch your feeding.

what kind of bottled bacteria?

I have 9 snails already, 4 turbos and 5 astraea.

Also a dozen crabs

It's a 55 gallon.

I'd been dosing calcium.

I'll cut that off, should I cut lights?

Oh like dr tims one and only or probidio or the instan ocean brand. Just to need up the good bacteria.

In my 55 I have two large turbos several dozen stomatellas plus some turban snails astrea and a couple nerites. What your looking for is more rock grazers.

The calcium is fine. It doser fed that stuff. But regular fish food does. And the coral food that a lot of folks use.

Cutting the lights will just help the symptom and you could try it. And see how it goes.

Also have a bottle of prime left from fresh water. Would a cap of that do anything?
