Stunner chalice

I spot feed my LPS once every 2 or 3 days. Just reef chilly. But i feed live brine daily and broadcast a crazy mixed food every other day. So that could be it. But my 30 fuge keeps my packed system nice and clean. :)
This could be the major difference. You have low nutrients and feed well, i have high nutrients and dont feed at all and we seem to both have success.

Ive not really been concerned for the lps tbh. But the acros have been much happier since i dirtied the water. When they were in the 29 the water was too clean and they hated it. The 90 is a bit less clean and they seem happier

I have red planet, green slimer, and had blueberry fantasy before my birdsnest ate it:'(. They grow fine. Slimer is top front middle and red planet is goin nuts on the overflow box. Lol

I must have missed it. What light are your using and what are the dims of your tank?

I had a 90 but dropped back to 40b. Imo its the petfect size. I was gonna go 120 in the new house. But decided to do twin 40bs cuz i cant bring myself to get rid of my 40. Love it!
Nice!! Hope mine will grow into that someday. I moved the stunner up higher. Hopefully starts to get its color back.

When I was keeping my water spotless doing weekly water changes larger than needed thinking I was doing the "More the better" way, I had terrible growth and color. Once I realized a lil nutrience was good and only do minor monthly changes, about 10-15 gal on a 110, now (although I do skim wet, have a fuge, and decent clean up crew), things are doing great. Colors nice, good feeding responses at night, great growth, etc. My trates stay between 5-10 as I have softies and mainly LPS. The very few sps I have are doing well also.
Do you feed them at night?
