One more quick question , if I'm forced to buy new . What's the difference between these two units . And which works with energy bar 8.

I have the classic version so I can’t speak about the 2016 wifi version.

The apex is one of the best equipment that I have ever purchased. It helped me automate lots of the tasks that I needed to perform and has gave me some peace of mind with all the redundancy it offered in case an equipment fails.

If you have the funds...buy the newest version. If you have limited funds (like me ...lol) buy the older model. I bought mine used and so far has not failed me.
