Hi guys, I am currently running a 60 gal with a HOB bio wheel filter. I am working on plans to add a sump. I am extremely limited in width in my stand with only 10.34 inches wide. I have found a 10 gal and a 5 gal that fit. Currently my plan is to set up 2 chamber sump with the skimmer chamber set at 8 inches tall and return pump chamber set at 5 inches. I am going to set a refugium in the 5gal and have it fed from and gravity drain into the return chamber. The pic is my plan but not to scale. Any advice, help greatly appreciated.

Well,
That's a real tight space for an sump.

The only thing that I can add is...

To make sure that your sump can hold the extra water, when you turn off the main return pump.
Don't know if a 10g can pull that factor off...

Besides the above...
