Sump flow rate average

Looking for opinions on sump/DT flow rates

the Tank is a 155 and I have a UV plumbed to the return

I have it turning over about 4x's per hour about 620GPH measured from my Apex flow Meter.

I did contact lifeguard about my UV and they say 4 to 5 times is perfect.

Is it worth pushing 5 times an hour or is 4 good enough? 5 x's is pushing 750 GPH.
either will work but prefer slower flow unless there is a good reason to increase

I think you answered the question yourself. If Lifeguard say 4-5 is fine and you prefer low flow, why change it?

I get it.. just getting a feel for an average. With having a UV, opinions are all over for flow rates

What's your goal for implementing the UV? What are you attempting to sterilize?

Low flow people say 3x to 5x the tank volume. High flow people say 10x.
You are getting the right flow for your UV, sounds like you have it dialed in.
It's when you start tinkering, things can go wrong. ( edited)
